After 4 months in Canberra, my cravings for my hometown food finally reached the max...
Nowadays, every morning, I drink a glass of soy milk/milk and bun.. I crave for that roti bakar (a.k.a toast bread) and half boiled eggs.. The ones that I always had before I went to college every morning.. The crispy feeling of the toast compliments by the smooth feeling of the eggs... Just can't say no to those... I had it every single morning for half a semester before I changed when I was in college...

and the famous Koay teow Basah ... BM is famous for that.. OMgod!!! I miss it so much... the gravy is the best... Eve and I used to love it... WIlson and I used to have it almost every weekend for supper... slurp~~

When it comes to koay teow.. BM 'lang'.. will never leave out the duck egg fried koay teow.. It's not like those normal char koay teow u see on the road... This, koay teow fried with duck egg and pig fats or u call it as pig oil.. or something... the taste is incredible!!!

I might be able to find some char koay teow in Canberra but I certainly haven't found any restaurant that sells char koay kak... THAT! is my one of my favourite food of all... and I regretted so much that I did not eat any before i got here... GOSH... i miss it!!!

I started liking it when I was in form5.. PENANG LAKSA!!!! Damn... The store along Penang street.. that one is the best! Eat it with alot of chilies.. and with a nice cold bowl of chendol... OMG!! that is like heaven!!!!!

CHENDOLL.... T_T
The Food in BM town... I miss the Koay Chap... I think most of you guys wouldn't know about this very very very delicious dish! It had chicken meat, duck meat and pork in it... With a very sweet yet salty gravy... witht he rice noodles in it... OMG... I can't take it anymore... It's seriously torturing... Why the heck am I blogging about food that is impossible for me to get it in Canberra...???!!! GOSH~~

2ND... the White Wonton Noodles.... MyFREAKIN"GOD!!! I need it...
and I think the next dish is just a very must for a Malaysian
chinese to miss.. That is
HOKKIEN NOODLES.. a.k.a
PRawn mee....

as well as... CURRY MEE..... Loos at the thick curry gravy.. I think I wanna try cooking curry noddles.. it shouldn't be that hard... hrmm?

In BM, if you want to eat curry mee, you would go to a store under a very big tree, and everytime you go there, no one could resist the famous AIS_KACANG there... hello?.. we're living in H_O_T... hot country... who could??? ..Oh.. all those ice... with the nice brown sugar and condensed milk... MyGod...

The next dish... I wanted to make it in Canberra but somehow I couldn't find any Yam... and apparently Aussies don't know what is yam.... =_=!! WTH... so i replaced yam with pumpkin.. which Australia has A LOT!!!
Considering that I'm talking about Yam... it should be YAM RICE lo... as what we call it in BM is "O-pui" or "O-ph'ng"

with the pig soup and nice meat balls... gosh...
I always remember a store in BM, whenever my parents and I have Yam rice, we would order otak-otak.. although i know how to make it, but it requires alot of work and I'm in a freakin' Uni... no way am I gonna spend so much time on it... but still I crave for it alot.... T__T

Speaking about rice... sure can't leave Nasi LEmak out of the picture... walao!... How can I forget nasi lemak??...this is like our typical Malaysian breakfast...

oh oh! I know most of you gonna think that I'm lame but I love OLD TOWN's Nasi Ayam Rendang!!! damn good! Can't wait d... My god ... I know most of the people have already got bored with that but I'm freakin' craving for that....!

and How can i forget BAnana Leaf RIce... I practically grew up eating that .... though I'm a chinese but I used to eat Indian Food when I was small... mostly because of my dad i guess...

ROTI Canai for BFast?? dushhh!!... those pre-packed roti canai that they sell in the market.. will never substitute the real roti canai... not even close!!

or some nice TOsai for Lunch?

Care for some Penang food.. Fried Oyster omellete... "ou-chian" ... Fried fresh oyster with eggs and flour.. dip it in the sweet sour chili paste... gosh... extreme heavenly like... +o+

After all those, the most I regret about not learning how to make when I was back in Msia are the chinese desserts...

Look at all those desserts and kuih-muih.. Damn miss lar... HELP???
Haiz... You might be wondering why do I have all these food shots in my lappy.. that's because whenever I crave for those food, i google it and paste it on my labtop so that I can take a good look at it... Heard of 望梅止渴.. I'm not sure about my mandarin... but I think it's correct... lol.. sorry if you don't read Mandarin.. I know it's sorta sad that i look at the pictures only... Sigh... what choice do I have?... sobiex...
Anway, Gonna continue studying... See ya!
